Post: Muslim World League Denounces E1 Settlement Plan in East Jerusalem

Riyadh: The Muslim World League has expressed its strong condemnation and complete rejection of the E1 settlement plan and related settlement activities in occupied East Jerusalem. In a statement issued by the General Secretariat of the League, His Excellency the Secretary-General, Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, condemned this plan that threatens the realization of an independent Palestinian state and denounced all illegal Israeli settlement policies in the occupied Palestinian territory. The League criticized these actions for supporting and protecting violations and acts of violence committed by settlers against the Palestinian people and their property, labeling it as part of an ongoing Israeli approach that violates international laws and resolutions, undermining peace efforts. According to Union of OIC News Agencies, His Eminence stressed the urgent need for the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities towards the ce ssation of all acts of violence, violations, and settlement policies, as well as other measures that aim to change the geographic and demographic character of the occupied Palestinian territory. He expressed appreciation for the statement issued by the foreign ministers of several countries, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt. These nations have demonstrated firm solidarity with the Palestinian people, supporting their legitimate rights, particularly their right to establish an independent and sovereign Palestinian state in accordance with the two-state solution and relevant international resolutions, which is viewed as the only way to achieve a just and lasting peace in the region.
