Doha: The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), represented by the National Cyber Security Academy, on Wednesday organized an awareness workshop on digital safety.
According to Qatar News Agency, the event was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) and included an array of themes connected with securing private data, ways to remain protected from the risks of digital identity theft and phishing, ransomware, and cyberbullying. It also covered online safety principles for children and strategies to protect them from internet threats.
Assistant Director of the Cyber Security Strategies and Policies Department at NCSA, Dalal Al Aqeedi, affirmed that the workshop intends to enhance the participants' awareness about cybersecurity. It aims to enable them to securely navigate the digital space and familiarize themselves with the foremost cyber risks and protection methods.
Director of the Information Systems Department at MSDF, Ahmed Khalil Abdullah, highlighted that the workshop reflects the ministry's commitment to promoting awareness among employees. It is part of efforts to prepare them for protecting data and information privacy, aligning with national initiatives aimed at bolstering digital safety based on Qatar National Vision 2030.
This initiative is part of the NCSA's ongoing efforts dedicated to enhancing public awareness of cybersecurity and digital safety, aiming to protect individuals and organizations from increasing threats in the digital space.
