Niger: 50 Migrants Stranded Near Libyan Border Rescued

Doha: Niger's army announced that it rescued 50 migrants stranded in the northern desert near the Libyan border, a crossing point on the road to Europe.

According to Qatar News Agency, the army stated in a press release that the migrants, including 20 women and 12 children, were left stranded when their vehicle broke down last Friday under harsh weather conditions. The army provided assistance to the migrants in the Djado Plateau in Niger, which is located about 200 kilometers from the border with Libya.
