Post: OIC Condemns Houthi Attacks on Makkah, Madinah

Doha: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned what it described as the "heinous attacks" carried out by the Houthi group against Makkah and the Madinah region, as well as its continued aggression against Saudi Arabia.

According to Qatar News Agency, the OIC stated that the attacks had terrorized civilians, violated the sanctity of Islamic holy sites and mosques, and provoked Muslims around the world.

The OIC General Secretariat declared that the Houthi group's actions targeting holy sites, mosques, and civilian objects "constitute terrorism that is incompatible with Islamic values and international norms, principles and laws."

It emphasized that any violation of the sanctity of Islamic holy sites was unacceptable and could not be tolerated, calling for those responsible to be deterred and for measures to prevent further attacks on the holy sites.

The OIC expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and support for the measures it takes to deter such attacks, safeguard the sanctity of the holy sites and the lives of Muslims, and protect its security and sovereignty.
