Doha: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the decision of the Israeli occupation authorities to approve the establishment of 22 new colonial settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.
According to Qatar News Agency, the OIC stated that this step continues the occupation's colonial plans aimed at altering the geographical and demographic reality in the occupied Palestinian territories. The organization emphasized that this action represents a clear violation of international law and United Nations resolutions, specifically citing Security Council Resolution 2334 of 2016.
The OIC has reiterated its call on the international community, especially the Security Council, to fulfill its responsibilities to halt the crimes of aggression, displacement, settlement, and starvation committed by the Israeli occupation. The organization urged support for efforts directed towards implementing the two-state solution.
