Oil prices fell Thursday at settlement at the end of trading.
Brent crude futures fell by 58 cents, or 0.77 percent, to settle at $74.38 per barrel.
U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures fell 88 cents, or 0.82 percent, to settle at $70.19 a barrel.
Economic data showed on Wednesday that U.S. crude inventories rose more than expected as refining activity rebounded, although crude futures are still up about 2 percent this week.
