Doha: Oil prices rose at settlement today, influenced by renewed escalation between the United States and Iran in the Middle East: Brent crude futures were at $101.29 a barrel, up 1.23 percent, after jumping as much as 3 percent earlier in the session. Meanwhile, the price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil futures settled at $95.42 per barrel, up 61 cents, or 0.64 percent. According to Qatar News Agency, despite this increase, both crude oil futures contracts recorded weekly declines exceeding six percent at settlement.
