Palestine: Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mostafa met Tuesday with Japan's Assistant Foreign Minister for Gaza Reconstruction, Takeshi Okubo, to discuss strengthening joint cooperation in implementing the recovery and reconstruction plan for the Gaza Strip.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, Mostafa emphasized the importance of working on a unified plan, namely the Arab Recovery and Reconstruction Plan, which has been adopted by the Islamic world and enjoys European and international support through the New York Declaration. He stressed the need for genuine and serious coordination with the State of Palestine and its institutions.
The two sides also discussed the situation on the ground in the West Bank in light of the ongoing aggression by the Israeli occupation army and settlers. They addressed the incursions into refugee camps in the northern West Bank and the withholding of Palestinian tax revenues for the seventh consecutive month.
