Doha: The Palestinian government on Tuesday called for active Arab and international action to compel the Israeli occupation to halt settler attacks on Palestinians across towns and villages in the West Bank, particularly those that fall within Area C. In a statement, the government warned of expanding Israeli schemes in Jerusalem, including issuing eviction orders targeting Palestinian families in the Batn Al Hawa neighborhood of Silwan, imposing intensive restrictions on the city and on schools, and obstructing movement through nearly 80 military checkpoints and metal gates.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Palestinian government called for active Arab, Islamic, and international mobilization to halt these illegal Israeli occupation measures and condemned the Israeli parliament's (Knesset) preliminary approval of a bill authorizing the execution of Palestinian prisoners.
