Ramallah: Palestinian Minister of Health Majed Abu Ramadan and UNRWA Director of Health Dr. Akihiro Seita discussed ways to enhance support and joint cooperation between the two sides. During the meeting held at the Ministry's headquarters in Ramallah, Abu Ramadan emphasized the vital role that UNRWA plays in providing health and relief services to Palestinian refugees in all areas. He stressed that there is no alternative to the agency, calling for an increased role through support from the international community and human rights and international institutions.
According to Qatar News Agency, Abu Ramadan pointed out the catastrophic health situation in the southern governorates due to the occupation's aggression, which requires collective efforts to resume operation of halted health centers and provide them with essential support. He emphasized the importance of continuous coordination and cooperation between the Ministry of Health and UNRWA to meet the needs of public health services, especially in the southern governorates, which are suffering from a severe shortage of basic health services.
