Ramallah: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas discussed in a phone call Monday with European Council (EC) President Antonio Costa the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, ways to halt the Israeli aggression, and urgently deliver aid to the Gaza Strip.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, the Palestinian President stressed the importance of efforts being made with Arab brothers and relevant international parties in the Global Coalition to hold the international peace conference scheduled for next June in New York, to garner recognition of the State of Palestine and its full membership in the United Nations, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
