Beirut: HE President of the Republic of Lebanon General Joseph Aoun engaged in a diplomatic meeting with HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting commenced with the Minister of State conveying the greetings and well-wishes of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the Lebanese President. He expressed the Amir's hopes for the President's good health and happiness, along with aspirations for the continued progress and prosperity of Lebanon's government and its people.
HE President Aoun reciprocated by sending his greetings to HH the Amir, expressing his wishes for the Amir's ongoing success and further prosperity for the State of Qatar.
The discussions between the two leaders focused on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring opportunities for further development. They also touched upon several regional and international issues. President Aoun expressed appreciation for Qatar's sustained support for Lebanon, particularly highlighting its assistance to the Lebanese Army, which plays a vital role in maintaining security and stability in the nation.
Dr. Al Khulaifi reaffirmed Qatar's commitment to supporting Lebanon and emphasized the strong ties of solidarity with the Lebanese people.
