Doha: HE President of the Republic of Singapore Tharman Shanmugaratnam met with HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan bin Ali Al-Thani at the Presidential Palace (Istana). The meeting was part of HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs' participation in the Shangri-La Dialogue 2026, held in the Republic of Singapore.
According to Qatar News Agency, the two leaders discussed the latest developments and security updates in the region. They also explored avenues for bilateral cooperation and coordination in light of the current conditions.
The meeting was attended by HE Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Singapore Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki Al Jehani, along with several senior officers and officials from both sides.
