Prime Minister and Japanese Foreign Minister Co-Chair Strategic Dialogue in Doha

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and HE Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Toshimitsu Motegi co-chaired the third Qatari-Japanese strategic dialogue in Doha on Tuesday. The dialogue focused on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring new avenues for cooperation between the two nations, particularly in key areas such as trade, economy, and investment.

According to Qatar News Agency, discussions during the dialogue covered a wide range of sectors including security and defense, education, healthcare, and scientific research. The talks also emphasized the importance of collaboration in fields like science and technology, tourism, and infrastructure development. Both countries expressed a mutual interest in advancing human resources development and capacity building through training initiatives.

The dialogue also addressed recent regional and international developments, with both Qatar and Japan affirming their commitment to resolving disputes through dialogue and peaceful methods. This strategic dialogue marks a continued effort by both nations to strengthen their partnership and address common challenges on the global stage.
