Post: Prime Minister and Oman’s Foreign Minister Discuss Regional Cooperation and Stability

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi engaged in a phone conversation to explore ways to deepen and expand cooperation between Qatar and Oman.

According to Qatar News Agency, the leaders also exchanged views on recent regional developments. Key points of discussion included ongoing negotiations between Oman and Iran concerning a phased framework. This framework aims to establish a temporary shared navigation route through the Strait of Hormuz and to initiate a joint project for demining the Strait.

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed Qatar's gratitude for the efforts of Oman and affirmed Qatar's full support for Oman's diplomatic initiatives aimed at de-escalation and reinforcing regional stability.
