Prime Minister of Qatar Engages in Diplomatic Call with Omani Counterpart

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a telephone conversation with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi. The discussion centered on enhancing bilateral relations and addressing regional dynamics, focusing on diplomatic efforts for de-escalation and reinforcing security and stability in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the necessity for all parties to commit to dialogue and diplomacy, specifically referencing the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Key points highlighted in the conversation included ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and respecting Oman's sovereignty over its territorial waters, aiming to safeguard regional security and stability.

His Excellency reaffirmed Qatar's support for efforts aimed at reducing tensions and achieving a comprehensive agreement that would lead to sustainable peace in the region.
