Public Prosecution Seminar Highlights Evolution of Qatar’s Legal System

Doha: The Public Prosecution, represented by the Institute of Criminal Studies, organized a legal seminar on the landmarks of the legal renaissance in the State of Qatar to commemorate National Day. The seminar was attended by HE Attorney General of the State of Qatar, Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi, along with several members of the Public Prosecution, who reviewed the historical journey of Qatari legislation and judiciary, tracing its development from the era of the founder through various stages of legislative evolution.

According to Qatar News Agency, the seminar was presented by Dr. Yousef Mohammed Al Obaidan, a former professor of political science at Qatar University and former member of the Shura Council. Dr. Al Obaidan highlighted the stages that have shaped the modern legal system in Qatar, as well as the developmental efforts undertaken by the State in this field.

The seminar was part of a series of scientific and educational events organized by the Institute of Criminal Studies. These events aim to enhance legal awareness among Public Prosecution members and strengthen legal knowledge across various fields, thereby contributing to improved performance and more effective work.
