Doha: The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) and Iran's Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at increasing air transport rights between the two nations. The agreement marks a significant step in bolstering aviation ties and operational collaboration between Qatar and Iran.
According to Qatar News Agency, the MoU was signed by Mohammed Faleh Al Hajri, Acting Director of the QCAA, and Hossein Pourfarzaneh, President of the CAO. The signing ceremony was attended by Ali Saleh Abadi, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Qatar. This agreement reflects both countries' commitment to enhancing their bilateral relations in the air transport sector.
Following the signing, representatives from both sides engaged in discussions on strategies to address operational challenges faced by airlines operating between the two countries. They also explored avenues for increased cooperation in civil aviation, aiming to streamline processes and improve the efficiency of air travel between Qatar and Iran.
