Post: Qatar and Paraguay Forge Partnership with MoU on Social Affairs Cooperation

Doha: The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Social Development and Family, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Republic of Paraguay, represented by the Ministry of Social Development, to foster cooperation in social affairs. The agreement was signed by Qatar's Minister of Social Development and Family, Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, and Paraguay's Minister-Counselor for Social and Economic Affairs, Juan Jose Galeano, during the Second World Summit on Social Development in Doha. According to Qatar News Agency, the MoU is designed to enhance collaboration and the exchange of expertise in various areas of social development. This includes social welfare, issues related to minors, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and family, women, and children. The agreement also focuses on developing technical and institutional cooperation channels between Qatar and Paraguay. The MoU outlines the exchange of studies, information, and expertise on mutual interests, alongside the formation of a joint committee to oversee the implementation of its provisions. This committee will also work on developing future plans and projects, ensuring the sustainability of joint programs and initiatives. This initiative is part of Qatar's broader effort to expand international partnerships in social and human development. It aims to share successful experiences in empowering individuals and promoting social justice, aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030.
