Post: Qatar Chairs Second Meeting of Arab Ministers Concerned with Disaster Risk Reduction

The State of Qatar chaired the second meeting at the level of Arab ministers concerned with disaster risk reduction that was held at the headquarters of Arab League in Cairo on Wednesday. Chaired by HE Assistant Undersecretary for Technical and Specialized Affairs at the Ministry of Interior Staff Major General Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Suwaidi, the meeting discussed the draft decisions of the sixth meeting of the Arab Coordination Mechanism for Disaster Risk Reduction, held on Aug.18, 2024. The slogan for the Arab Disaster Risk Reduction Day 2025, "A Resilient Arab Society in the Face of Disasters," proposed by Qatar's National Focal Point during the session, was also approved.
