Doha: Qatar Chamber has engaged in talks with the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce to explore opportunities for expanding trade and investment cooperation between Qatar and Brazil, emphasizing the importance of strengthening private sector partnerships. The discussions took place in Doha on Tuesday and centered on strategies to boost bilateral trade and increase mutual investments, particularly in sectors related to food security and food industries.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting featured Qatar Chamber board member Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Obaidly and a delegation from the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, including its Vice-President for International Relations, Mohammed Mourad, and Director and Head of the International Office, Rafael Solimeo. The discussions focused on developing a roadmap aimed at deepening economic cooperation and encouraging more collaboration between businesses in both countries.
During the meeting, Al Obaidly received an official invitation for HE Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani to serve as a keynote speaker at the fifth Arab-Brazilian Economic Forum. Scheduled for August 25 in Sao Paulo, the forum is organized in cooperation with the Union of Arab Chambers and under the patronage of the League of Arab States.
Al Obaidly highlighted the robust bilateral relations between Qatar and Brazil and reiterated Qatar Chamber's commitment to promoting joint ventures and strategic partnerships between Qatari and Brazilian companies to expand trade. Mourad emphasized that this year's forum would operate under the theme, "The Global Economy in Transition - A New Agenda Between Brazil and the Arab Countries," and extended an invitation to Qatar Chamber to participate. The event is designed to strengthen economic ties and foster closer cooperation between private sector organizations across the two regions.
