Post: Qatar Citizens Welcome Call for Participation in Constitutional Amendments Referendum.

Doha: HE Member of the Shura Council and Member of the General Referendum Committee Abdulla bin Ali Al Sulaiti emphasized that the call of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on citizens to participate in the referendum on the draft constitutional amendments for 2024 to the permanent constitution of the State of Qatar, received wide public welcome, reflecting the community's confidence in the wisdom and leadership of HH the Amir. According to Qatar News Agency, Al Sulaiti indicated that these proposed amendments came after a careful and comprehensive study that reflected the values that the State of Qatar, government, and people are keen on, especially since the shura concept is rooted in Qatar's society, and that the keenness on the public interest is a basic characteristic of every citizen. He pointed out that the welcome seen today for the referendum confirms the citizens' awareness of the proposed amendments and their understanding of their effects and results on the future of Qatar, its progres s, and the cohesion of its national unity, in addition to the cooperation and consultation of all for the good and prosperity of Qatar.
