Qatar Condemns Israeli National Security Minister’s Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

Doha: The State of Qatar condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the National Security Minister in the Israeli occupation government, officials, and settlers.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Monday affirming that the occupation's repeated attempts to undermine the religious and historical status of Al-Aqsa Mosque constitute a provocation to more than two billion Muslims around the world. The ministry warned that the escalating policy it adopts in the occupied Palestinian territories, including the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip, will inevitably lead to an expansion of violence and chaos in the region. This situation is said to undermine efforts to implement a two-state solution and achieve comprehensive, just, and sustainable peace. The statement called for urgent and effective action by the international community to compel the occupation to comply with international legitimacy resolutions.

The ministry reiterated Qatar's firm position on the justness of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the full right to practice their religious rituals without restrictions and to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
