Cannes:Qatar Duty Free (QDF) has been honored with the "Airport Retailer of the Year" award for the fourth consecutive year at the 2026 Frontier Awards ceremony held in Cannes, France.
According to Qatar News Agency, QDF also secured the award for "Best Speciality Concept - Hybrid and F and B" for its recent launch of Lancome Café de la Rose. The event recognized QDF's continued investment in retail and hospitality, highlighting its "experiencentricity" concept, which focuses on enhancing the traveler experience.
This year's success at the Frontier Awards underscores QDF's growth, creativity, and innovation, with the organization introducing 15 new retail concepts at Doha's Hamad International Airport over the past year. Notable developments include the launch of the first POP MART in the Middle East and a large-scale holiday activation with Charlotte Tilbury.
The Lancome Café de la Rose received praise as the first airport beauty café, blending the Lancôme beauty experience with a café environment. It offers passengers a unique way to engage with the brand and its Absolue Collection.
Thabet Musleh, Qatar Airways Group Chief Retail and Hospitality Officer, expressed pride in receiving the awards, describing the achievement as a testament to the dedication of their team and partners.
