Qatar, Egypt Forge New Judicial Assistance Pact in Criminal Matters

Cairo: The State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt have entered into a significant agreement focused on mutual judicial assistance in criminal matters. The agreement aims to enhance judicial cooperation between the two nations, aligning with their respective national laws and public order.

According to Qatar News Agency, the agreement was signed by HE Attorney General of the State of Qatar Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi, who is currently visiting Cairo, and HE Minister of Justice of the Arab Republic of Egypt Counselor Adnan Fangari. This diplomatic development underscores the intent of both countries to collaborate more closely on legal issues, particularly those pertaining to criminal matters.

The agreement follows a meeting between HE the Attorney General and HE Minister of Justice of Egypt, where they engaged in discussions on topics of mutual interest. The dialogue aimed to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation in the legal and judicial sectors.

HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Egypt Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani was also present at the signing ceremony and the preceding meeting, highlighting the diplomatic significance of the agreement.
