Kuwait city: The State of Qatar participated in the 27th meeting of Their Excellencies the Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Justice in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, held Thursday in the State of Kuwait. The Qatari delegation to the meeting was headed by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice Saeed bin Abdullah Al Suwaidi.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing judicial, legal, and legislative cooperation among GCC Ministries of Justice. Key topics on the agenda included the draft unified rules for combating discrimination, hate speech, and contempt of religions and religious beliefs within the GCC, as well as proposals for unified rules to combat cybercrimes and human trafficking in the region.
Additionally, the meeting reviewed a report on the Meetings for Committee of Heads of International Cooperation and International Relations Departments in GCC Ministries of Justice for the year 2025. Discussions aimed at preparing appropriate recommendations for the upcoming meeting of Their Excellencies the Ministers of Justice were also part of the agenda.
