Doha: The State of Qatar participated in the 17th meeting of assistant attorneys general and prosecutors from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to discuss judicial cooperation advancements.
According to Qatar News Agency, the virtual meeting focused on several key topics, including the integration of artificial intelligence in public prosecution work, the establishment of joint investigation teams across the Gulf, and the enhancement of cooperation mechanisms among GCC prosecution authorities. The participants also reviewed unified models for international cooperation within the public prosecution and prosecution authorities of the GCC member states.
Representing Qatar at the meeting was Abdullah Mohammed Al Maliki, First Attorney General and Director of the Judicial Inspection Department, along with several officials from the Public Prosecution. The discussions are a precursor to the 18th meeting of Their Excellencies GCC Attorneys General and Prosecutors, scheduled for October.
