Doha:Qatar Foundation highlighted the pivotal aspects of its Pre-University Education Vision 2040 during the Pre-University Education Forum, emphasizing significant milestones and achievements. This forum served as a platform for dialogue and reflection on the future of education across QF schools.
According to Qatar News Agency, the event coincided with World Teachers' Day, providing an opportunity to celebrate the crucial role educators play in inspiring students, fostering learning opportunities, and enhancing educational practices to meet students' needs and aspirations.
The forum gathered teachers, students, school leaders, and practitioners from Pre-University Education schools and institutions. Through various sessions, workshops, and discussions, participants exchanged experiences and explored innovative educational ideas and practices that have a meaningful impact both inside and beyond the classroom.
The forum also reflected on the achievements of the past year as part of Vision 2040, which aims to enhance educational quality and respond to the needs of a rapidly changing world while maintaining identity, culture, and values at the core of the student learning experience.
Abeer Al Khalifa, QF's PUE President, emphasized that the future of education is shaped not only by imparting knowledge but also by instilling human values in students, preparing them to be future changemakers. She highlighted QF's aspiration to graduate students who understand their identity and roots, equipped with critical-thinking skills, and capable of making responsible decisions.
Al Khalifa noted that Vision 2040 represents a collective commitment to students and a shared responsibility within the education community. She stressed the importance of widely sharing the vision to align efforts and raise awareness of each individual's role in shaping the future of education.
Teachers play a central role in realizing this vision by creating meaningful learning experiences that build students' character, nurture their curiosity, and empower them to discover their strengths and reach their full potential.
The forum recognized the winners of the Pre-University Education Awards 2026, which honor individuals and teams for their contributions to enhancing educational quality. Mahmoud Mohammed Aladdasi of Qatar Leadership Academy received the Outstanding Teacher Award, and Lina Othman of Qatar Academy Msheireb received the Outstanding Practitioner Award. The Outstanding Student Award went to Jassim Mohammed Al Mossalam of Qatar Academy Msheireb.
The Ejadah Team from PUE Central Departments received the Outstanding Team Award, while the Islamic Civilization Curriculum Team was honored with the Curriculum Excellence Award. The ceremony also acknowledged recipients of the Thana'a Professional Excellence accolade for their exceptional performance and teamwork, which have supported the advancement of Pre-University Education at Qatar Foundation.
