Qatar International Art Festival’s Sixth Edition Celebrates Global Creativity.

Doha: The sixth edition of the Qatar International Art Festival (QIAF), organized by the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) in collaboration with MAPS International, the British Council, and the Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, concluded Saturday. The festival honored all partners and awarded prizes to the winning artists. According to Qatar News Agency, this year's festival featured 360 artists from 73 countries, showcasing a diverse array of creative works encompassing various themes, ideas, and aesthetic visions. The event attracted a large audience, who came to view an exhibition displaying over 1,000 paintings and sculptures. The festival also included a series of artistic and cultural activities spread over 14 events during the six-day celebration. These events ranged from art workshops and underwater painting exhibitions to seminars, discussions, and musical and cultural evenings that explored topics like sustainability in art, the role of technology in creative works, and cultural diplomacy throug h art. Additionally, a fashion show blending art and haute couture demonstrated how fabric can convey powerful artistic narratives. Furthermore, 22 artistic pavilions from 15 countries were featured, with participating artists creating their works through live painting, interactive sessions, and art workshops, much to the admiration and appreciation of the audience and festival guests.
