Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) has released the deposit rates for various currencies as of Sunday. These rates are applicable to different tenures, ranging from one month to twelve months, and cover a variety of currencies including USD, JPY, CHF, GBP, QAR, SAR, AED, and BHD.
According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rate for USD starts at 4.36116 for a one-month term and decreases to 3.81440 for a twelve-month term. For JPY, the rates begin at 0.35000 for one month and peak at 0.65000 for a twelve-month period. Swiss Franc (CHF) depositors will see negative rates, beginning at -0.18000 for a one-month deposit and slightly improving to -0.09000 for a twelve-month deposit. The GBP rates start at 3.97000 for one month and reach 4.05000 for both a two-month and a twelve-month duration.
For deposits in Qatari Riyal (QAR), the rates start at 4.82500 for one month and drop to 4.42500 for twelve months. Saudi Riyal (SAR) rates begin at 4.90000 for one month and slightly decrease to 5.05000 for a twelve-month term. The United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED) offers rates starting at 2.05000 for one month, increasing to 3.15000 for a twelve-month tenure. Lastly, Bahraini Dinar (BHD) depositors will find rates starting at 5.30000 for one month, with a decrease to 4.93000 over a twelve-month period.
