Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) has released the latest deposit rates, effective from Sunday. These rates provide insights into the returns depositors can expect on various currencies for different time frames.
According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rates for the US Dollar (USD) start at 3.66774% for a 1-month term, increasing to 3.99175% for a 12-month term. For the Japanese Yen (JPY), the rates range from 0.85000% for a 1-month deposit to 1.35000% for a 12-month deposit. The Swiss Franc (CHF) begins with a negative rate of -0.05000% for both 1-month and 2-month deposits, moving into positive territory at 0.20000% for 12 months. The British Pound (GBP) rates start at 3.75000% for a 1-month period and rise to 4.52000% for a 12-month period.
In terms of regional currencies, the Qatari Riyal (QAR) has a 1-month deposit rate of 4.00000%, which decreases to 3.75000% for a 12-month term. The Saudi Riyal (SAR) offers a 1-month rate of 4.50000%, remaining steady at 4.30000% for both the 6-month and 12-month terms. The UAE Dirham (AED) rates begin at 2.05000% for a 1-month deposit, increasing to 3.15000% for a 12-month deposit. Lastly, the Bahraini Dinar (BHD) offers a 1-month rate of 4.56000%, climbing to 5.06000% for a 12-month deposit.
