Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) has released its latest deposit rates effective from Sunday, highlighting changes across various currencies and durations.
According to Qatar News Agency, the updated rates cover multiple currencies including USD, JPY, CHF, GBP, QAR, SAR, AED, and BHD, with varying interest rates depending on the duration of the deposit. For USD deposits, rates start at 3.61196% for one month, increasing to 3.84527% for a twelve-month deposit. JPY rates range from 0.78000% for two months to 1.22000% for twelve months. CHF deposits remain in negative territory for shorter durations, with a slight positive rate of 0.15000% for twelve months. GBP rates begin at 3.72000% for one month, rising to 4.50000% for a twelve-month term.
The rates for QAR deposits stand at 4.10000% for one month and decrease slightly to 3.95000% for a twelve-month deposit. SAR rates remain consistent at 4.30000% from two months onwards. AED deposit rates increase from 2.05000% for one month to 3.15000% for twelve months. BHD rates start at 4.57000% for one month and reach 4.85000% for a twelve-month duration. The changes reflect the bank's assessment of the current economic conditions and interest rate environment.
