Post: Qatar Showcases Commitment to Gulf Industrial Integration at Bahrain Forum

Doha:The inaugural "Made in the Gulf 2026" exhibition and forum is currently being held in Bahrain, running until October 8. This event provides a unified platform for manufacturers and industrial stakeholders from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar's participation in the forum underscores its dedication to enhancing Gulf industrial integration. This includes fostering new partnerships, supporting non-oil exports, and building integrated, sustainable regional supply chains.

Officials and business representatives emphasized that the event offers an excellent opportunity to showcase Qatari products, boost their competitiveness, and expand their reach both regionally and internationally. Meshaal Ahmed Mahjoob Al Hajjaji, Manager of Small and Medium Industries Zone at Manateq, expressed the company's anticipation of strengthening Gulf industrial integration and forming new partnerships through their participation.

Al Hajjaji explained that Manateq's presence at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry pavilion aims to expand the market reach for Qatari and Gulf goods globally. The company seeks to empower investors and facilitate their business operations to support the localization of industries and strengthen supply chains, contributing to economic diversification and enhancing the competitiveness of national products in and outside Qatar.

At Manateq, they are working to address challenges and streamline procedures for investors, aiming to provide an attractive and sustainable investment environment. This effort supports the industrial and logistics sectors and strengthens Qatar's national economy.

Ali Sultan Al Kuwari, Senior Director of Export Development at Qatar Development Bank (QDB), noted that QDB is leading a delegation of 20 Qatari exporters to the forum. This initiative highlights the quality and diversity of national products and aligns with the bank's mission to drive non-oil exports and open global opportunities for Qatari businesses.

Jassim Ahmed Al Kuwari, Assistant Director of the National Product Competitiveness Support Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, stated that Qatar's participation confirms its intent to enhance Gulf industrial integration. The participation is expected to open new horizons for national factories and strengthen partnerships between private sectors in GCC countries, thereby supporting the competitiveness of Gulf industry on a regional and international level.
