Post: Qatar Showcases Transport Strategy at InnoTrans 2026

Berlin:Qatar has concluded its participation at InnoTrans 2026, an international transport technology exhibition held in Berlin. The event showcased Qatar's plans for smart and sustainable transport, with a focus on the Ministry of Transport's 2025-2030 strategy.

According to Qatar News Agency, the strategy aims to create an integrated, safe, flexible, and sustainable transport network as part of Qatar's National Vision 2030. Key initiatives include a strategy for autonomous vehicles, transitioning to electric public buses, and the supporting infrastructure.

Qatar's presentation also included a comprehensive public transport plan to improve integration between transport modes, reduce private car use, and lower emissions.

On the event's final day, Engineer Abdullah Saif Al Sulaiti, Assistant Undersecretary for Land Transport Affairs, met with international delegates. Discussions with Deutsche Bahn, Italian National Railways, and Egis focused on enhancing cooperation in smart transportation and railroad infrastructure, emphasizing the exchange of expertise and new technologies.
