Post: Qatar Sports for All Federation Launches Women’s Event Series

Umm Al Seneem:Qatar The Qatar Sports for All Federation (QSFA), operating under the Ministry of Sports and Youth, is set to launch a series of sports activities for women and girls at Ruqaya Preparatory School for Girls in Umm Al Seneem. These activities, starting on Sunday, aim to foster increased participation in sports and community engagement among women and girls of all ages.

According to Qatar News Agency, this initiative will run for three months, featuring weekly sessions from Sunday to Wednesday between 400 p.m. and 700 p.m. The program will offer a variety of sports and recreational activities, supervised by specialized female trainers and an all-female administrative and technical team from the QSFA. This arrangement ensures a private and welcoming environment for participants.

The Sports for All Oasis event will include activities such as football, volleyball, badminton, and basketball, as well as fitness classes, walking sessions, bodyweight strength training, and stretching exercises. These activities are designed to accommodate different age groups and physical abilities, promoting regular exercise as a part of daily life.

QSFA Executive Director Abdullah Al Dosari stated that the Sports for All Oasis reflects the Ministry's dedication to supporting women and expanding sports participation. He emphasized the Federation's commitment to delivering high-quality programs for women and girls, while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment that respects their privacy.

Al Dosari highlighted that women's sports events are crucial to the QSFA agenda, providing a platform for women and their daughters to engage in physical activities. He noted that the Federation organized around 38 sports tournaments for women and girls during the summer, which attracted many participants by catering to diverse age groups and fitness levels. The Sports for All Oasis is a continuation of these efforts, offering an extensive array of options to encourage sustained physical activity among women and girls.
