Qatar Stars League 2 Announces 2026-2027 Season Schedule

Doha: The Qatar Stars League (QSL) has unveiled the schedule for the upcoming QSL 2 League 2026-2027 season, which is set to commence on August 23.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 12 teams will compete in the league next season. The teams include Al Khor, Al Markhiya, Al Bidda, Mesaimeer, Muaither, Al Kharaitiyat, Umm Salal, Al Waab, NextGen (Al Rayyan), Etihad Al Gharafa, Al Shamal Future, and the Qatar Under-23 National Team. This announcement is a part of QSL's preparations to ensure that the competition maintains high organizational and technical standards.

In line with QSL's commitment to providing optimal conditions for the season's start, the first three rounds of matches will be held in air-conditioned stadiums. This initiative aims to offer an ideal environment for both players and fans, thereby enhancing the quality of the competition during this period.

The air-conditioned venues hosting the initial matches are Al Thumama Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium, Al Bayt Stadium, Lusail Stadium, Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, and Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium. The first round will unfold over three days, featuring an opening match between Al Khor and Al Markhiya at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium on August 23. Al Bidda will face Al Gharafa at Lusail Stadium on the same day. The following day, Mesaimeer will compete against Muaither at Al-Thumama Stadium, while Al Shamal will take on Al Kharaitiyat at Khalifa International Stadium. The round will wrap up on August 25 with two matches: Umm Salal versus the Qatari Under-23 National Team at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, and Al Waab against Al Rayyan Next Generation at Al-Bayt Stadium.
