Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange index rose 0.32 percent at the start of trading on Sunday, adding 34.65 points to reach 10,733 points, supported by five key sectors. According to Qatar News Agency, the general index's increase was driven by strong performances in the telecommunications sector (+1.83 percent), consumer goods and services (+0.84 percent), industrial sector (+0.76 percent), real estate (+0.69 percent), and transportation (+0.61 percent). In contrast, the banking and financial services sector fell 0.22 percent, while the insurance sector dropped 0.43 percent. By 10:00 am, trading value on the Qatar Stock Exchange exceeded QR 95.314 million, covering 40.36 million shares across 5,167 transactions.
