Doha: The general index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) experienced a positive start to the trading week, seeing an increase of 34.11 points, or 0.33%, bringing the index to the level of 10,444 compared to the previous day's close. According to Qatar News Agency, the QSE index's growth was propelled by several sectors showing gains. Notably, the Banks and Financial Services sector saw an increase of 0.83%, while Consumer Goods and Services rose by 0.35%. Additionally, the Telecoms sector experienced a 0.13% uptick, Real Estate edged up by 0.10%, Insurance improved by 0.05%, and Industrials saw a slight increase of 0.04%. In contrast, the Transportation sector was the only one to record a decline, falling by 0.20%. At approximately 10:00 am, the trading volume included 21.664 million shares across 2,072 transactions, with a total value of QR 49.807 million.
