Doha:The stock market index in Qatar closed lower on Wednesday, decreasing by 49.77 points, or 0.54%, to reach 9,209.53.
According to Qatar News Agency, trading on the Qatar Stock Exchange involved 89.2 million shares, with a turnover of QR 200.7 million conducted through 13,947 transactions spanning all sectors.
In the day's trading, shares in eight companies rose, 38 companies saw a decline, and seven remained unchanged from their previous closing prices.
The total market capitalization at the close was QR 558.7 billion, a reduction from QR 561.2 billion recorded in the previous session.
