QATAR UNIVERSITY SIGNS MOU WITH QNB

Qatar University (QU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with QNB, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, to establish collaboration in the field of research, consultancy and knowledge transfer.

The MoU was signed by Qatar University President, Dr. Hassan Rashid Al-Derham, and Executive General Manager & Group Chief Operating Officer of QNB, Mr. Ali Rashid Al-Mohannadi, in presence of senior management of both sides.

Qatar University and QNB, aim to establish a collaboration in the academic, research, student training and support fields, as well as the exchange of information and consultancy through the agreement.

Qatar University will provide QNB with consultancy and workshops covering different areas. QU faculty will also support QNB’s projects by ensuring knowledge transfer and progressive development of existing projects.

Commenting on the MoU, Qatar University President Dr. Hassan Rashid Al-Derham said: “The MoU highlights QU-CENG continuous efforts to provide solutions to local challenges, in line with national priorities towards a knowledge-based economy. It will also serve to facilitate knowledge and technology transfer and provide consultancy and research services, which will contribute to driving socio-economic development and sustainability in the State of Qatar.”

Executive General Manager & Group Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Ali Rashid Al-Mohannadi, said in a comment, “Following long years of continuous and fruitful cooperation with Qatar University, Qatar’s primary educational institution, this comes as part of our support to education in all its areas and fields. We hope that this MoU provides an opportunity to exchange knowledge and to benefit from the expertise of and to provide our utmost support to improve this agreement’s goals.”
