Qatar Volleyball Association to Host Inaugural U-18 Beach Volleyball Championship in Middle East

Doha: The Qatar Volleyball Association has announced the organization of the U-18 Beach Volleyball World Championships for men and women, scheduled to be held at Al Gharafa Beach Centre from October 7 to 11. This marks the first time the tournament will take place in the Middle East, attracting leading international teams to the region. According to Qatar News Agency, the tournament will commence with preliminary qualifiers featuring 24 teams. From these, four teams will secure direct qualification to the main round, bringing the total to 32 teams in both the men's and women's categories. Previous editions of the World Championship were hosted in Thailand in 2021, Turkey in 2022, and China in 2024, before making its way to Doha this year. Mohammed Salem Al Kuwari, a member of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Volleyball Association and Chairman of the Beach Volleyball Committee, emphasized that hosting the World Championship demonstrates the significant confidence the International Volleyball Federation p laces in Qatar. He highlighted that Doha has emerged as a preferred destination for major tournaments due to its advanced infrastructure and extensive organizational experience.
