Doha: Advisor to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari announced that the State of Qatar welcomes the announcement by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) of its acceptance of US President Donald Trump's proposal to end the war in Gaza. Hamas has expressed its willingness to release all hostages as part of the exchange formula included in the proposal.
According to Qatar News Agency, Dr. Al Ansari, in a post on the X platform, emphasized Qatar's support for the US President's call for an immediate ceasefire. This move aims to facilitate the safe and rapid release of hostages and achieve results that will halt the bloodshed of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. He further stated that Qatar has started working with mediation partners in the Arab Republic of Egypt, coordinating with the United States, to advance discussions on the plan to ensure an end to the conflict.
