Manama: The Qatari national volleyball team claimed third place and the bronze medal in the 5th edition of the Men's Asian Volleyball Championship 2025, hosted by Bahrain, after defeating South Korea 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-23) in the third-place match.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari team secured the bronze medal following an impressive performance throughout the tournament. They topped their group with a victory over Australia and went on to defeat Vietnam in the quarterfinals with a score of 3-2. However, they faced a setback in the semifinals, losing to Pakistan 0-3.
Meanwhile, the championship title was claimed by the Bahraini team, who triumphed over Pakistan with a 3-1 victory in the final match.
The award ceremony witnessed the presence of Ali Ghanem Al Kuwari, President of the Qatar and West Asian Volleyball Federations, along with several officials. The medals presentation took place in a festive atmosphere celebrating the efforts of all participating teams.
