Paris: Qatari horses achieved two remarkable victories on the European stage, through the fillies "Janayen" and "Swift Winds", in races held on tracks in France and England, where they demonstrated outstanding performance and a promising start to their careers.
According to Qatar News Agency, in France, the filly "Janayen," owned by Khalifa bin Mohammed Al Attiyah and Ecurie Castillon Bloodstock, deservedly won her first victory. She topped the 1400m Prix de V©s for three-year-old Thoroughbred females at Vichy, ridden by jockey Marvin Grondin and trained by Elias Michaelides, in her first race.
Janayen caught the eye with her strong performance, especially in the final 200m of the race, where she surged steadily and confidently to the front, securing a comfortable victory by three and a half lengths ahead of her closest competitor.
In England, Nibras Racing-owned Swift Winds recorded her first victory in her second start, winning the Alfurston Gardens Stakes for two-year-old Thoroughbreds over 1400m at Brighton. Swift Winds put in a remarkable performance under the supervision of trainer Hilal Qubaisi, showing great speed in the final metres of the race and confidently advancing to victory under jockey Taryn Langley.
