Qatari League: Al Ahli SC Signs Midfielder Yannis Fatheddine for Four Seasons

Doha: Qatari club Al Ahli SC announced Wednesday the signing of midfielder Yannis Fatheddine for four seasons from Al Waab Club.

According to Qatar News Agency, the club stated on its website that the 22-year-old has inked a contract that will keep him with the team until the summer of 2029. The decision to bring Fatheddine on board aligns with the club's strategy to bolster the team with skilled players for the upcoming phase. Fatheddine is recognized as one of the most skilled midfielders, having showcased his abilities prominently with Al Waab Club in the second division last season.

Following the contract signing, Fatheddine joined Al Ahli's preparatory camp for the new 2025-2026 season, currently taking place in the Dutch city of Eindhoven. This training camp is scheduled to continue until August 4.

Al Ahli Club has been active in the transfer market, making multiple signings to fortify its squad in anticipation of a significant season. The club is set to participate in the AFC Champions League for the first time in its history after securing a fourth-place finish in the Qatar Football League last season.

The club is set to kick off their season against Al Shamal on August 14 in the first round of the league.
