Doha: Qatari newspapers addressed several topics in their Tuesday editorials on both the Arab and local fronts. Most notably, the newspapers strongly condemned the targeting of journalists in Gaza by the Israeli entity, which is a crime that reflects the brutality practiced by the entity against Palestinians and a systematic attempt to silence the Palestinian voice, obscure the truth, and cover up crimes.
According to Qatar News Agency, the newspapers called for the resumption of peace negotiations and the launch of direct dialogue between Palestinians and Israelis, which in turn enables the Palestinian people to establish an independent, sovereign state that would serve as a strong security guarantee for the entire Middle East.
On the local front, newspapers emphasized that Qatar is experiencing a medical and health renaissance thanks to significant developments in the medical sector, which has been able to professionally adapt to the demands of the times. The country has adopted numerous important projects and initiatives aimed at promoting health, positioning Qatar at the forefront of the world's leading medical sectors, providing unique, world-class medical services.
For its part, Al-Sharq newspaper stated that the targeting of journalists in Gaza is an ongoing crime that reflects the extent of the brutality practiced by the Israeli occupation forces against Palestinians. The continued killing of journalists is part of the comprehensive war waged by the occupation forces against the Palestinian people, which aims to obscure the truth and prevent documentation of the ongoing crimes and violations against civilians, the paper pointed out.
The newspaper explained that the occupation forces deliberately target journalists, pointing out that the number of journalist martyrs rose to 210, with over 400 wounded, and 40 others arrested, in addition to the destruction of most of the headquarters of local and international institutions operating in the Gaza Strip. All local Palestinian radio stations have also been forced to close due to displacement and eviction.
Al-Sharq concluded its editorial by calling on the International Criminal Court to complete its investigation into all crimes committed by the Israeli entity against civilians, including media professionals and journalists who are subjected to deliberate killing, arbitrary detention, and physical assaults in connection with their journalistic work.
In turn, Al-Watan newspaper said the Israeli government believes that waging wars and using force will bring about change that will guarantee its security and stability. It has resorted to destabilizing the entire region by implementing its plan based on continuing the war of extermination in the Gaza Strip and destroying Palestinian cities, villages, and camps in the West Bank.
The newspaper emphasized the need to halt Israeli attacks, resume peace negotiations, launch direct dialogue between Palestinians and Israelis, and establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital. The newspaper warned that all Netanyahu is trying to promote is chaos and nothing else.
Al-Watan called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the release of all prisoners and detainees, and the immediate commencement of negotiations to establish a sovereign Palestinian state. This alone will guarantee solid security for the entire Middle East region, the paper concluded.
