Manama: The State of Qatar participated in the 38th Meeting of the Committee of Agricultural Cooperation and Food Security in the GCC States, held Thursday in Manama, Bahrain. HE Minister of Municipality Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah led the State of Qatar's delegation at the meeting.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting covered several agenda items focused on strengthening Gulf cooperation and integration in agriculture and food security. Key discussions included a study on establishing regional areas for strategic food storage, the Gulf strategy for food security, and draft laws, regulations, and systems related to these fields. The agenda also included other topics of mutual interest among the member states.
The committee concluded by adopting several decisions and recommendations aimed at bolstering joint Gulf initiatives and enhancing integration among the GCC countries in agriculture and food security.
