Qatar’s Ambassador in Muscat Highlights Exceptional Ties Ahead of HH the Amir’s Visit

Muscat: HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Mubarak bin Fahad Al-Thani, emphasized that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's visit to Oman underscores the exceptional and historical ties between Qatar and Oman, marking one of the strongest strategic relationships in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE Ambassador Al-Thani stated that the Qatari-Omani relations are characterized by stability and prosperity, underpinned by deep historical and geographical ties. These relations are further strengthened by the continuous support from HH the Amir and HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, with ongoing development across various fields.

The Ambassador highlighted the diverse areas of bilateral cooperation and the intention of both countries to enhance these ties further. Recent years have seen marked growth in trade and economic exchanges, particularly in investment projects like large economic zones, industrial city projects, tourism, food security, and the establishment of hypermarkets.

He also remarked on the historical bonds between the peoples of Qatar and Oman, which have cultivated exceptional bilateral relations. The visit of HH the Amir is expected to open a new chapter of partnership, aligning with both Qatar National Vision 2030 and Oman Vision 2040, focusing on cooperation in environment, culture, education, sports, and youth.

HE Ambassador Al-Thani noted that the visit is anticipated to result in several agreements and Memoranda of Understanding, aiming to elevate bilateral relations to a complementary level. Discussions will prioritize key issues, including strengthening bilateral relations, addressing regional crises, and considering international developments.
