Doha: Qatari newspapers on Tuesday highlighted the State of Qatar's intensive efforts to support regional security and stability, as well as its global standing as a peacemaker and respected international mediator. The editorials emphasized Qatar's ongoing efforts to protect workers and strengthen compliance with labor market regulations.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Raya newspaper noted that Qatar continues to play a pivotal role in supporting regional security through a diplomatic approach founded on dialogue and respect for state sovereignty. The newspaper highlighted efforts launched from Doha to mobilize international and regional support in order to spare the Middle East further crises and conflicts. This includes a series of diplomatic calls conducted by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani with foreign ministers to garner support for negotiations between the United States and Iran.
The editorial also mentioned that Qatar, in cooperation with Pakistan, is working to create conducive conditions for successful negotiations between the US and Iran. A recent memorandum of understanding has been instrumental in forming an institutional framework for the negotiation process, aiming to address outstanding issues through peaceful means and preserve regional stability.
Al-Raya affirmed that the success of the US-Iran dialogue could have a broader positive impact on the region, potentially leading to new phases of cooperation and partnerships that are much needed after years of tension.
Al-Sharq newspaper echoed this sentiment, stating that Qatar spares no effort to guide the region toward peace and stability. The newspaper praised Qatar's role as a peacemaker and mediator in international conflicts, citing the wise vision of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the integrated roles of various state institutions. Al-Sharq also acknowledged Qatar's significant role in facilitating the memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran, as well as its efforts during high-level talks in Switzerland aimed at reaching a final agreement within a set timeframe.
