Doha: Al-Watan newspaper confirmed in its Tuesday editorial that the State of Qatar has built a world-class public healthcare system through a multi-sectoral approach and significant investment in public health and sustainability. The healthcare system has gained regional and international trust by ensuring comprehensive health coverage for all, enhancing the quality and quantity of services, and adhering to high international standards.
According to Qatar News Agency, Hamad Medical Corporation announced the launch of two advanced diagnostic services for pediatric allergies, including skin allergy testing and food and drug challenge tests. These services are recognized internationally as the gold standard for confirming or ruling out allergic conditions. Additionally, the Primary Health Care Corporation expanded its 24-hour urgent care services by adding Al Waab Health Center to its network.
Al-Watan also highlighted the Ministry of Municipality's recent opening of a new medical clinic at the General Cleanliness Department Complex in the Industrial Area, aimed at improving healthcare access for workers. The clinic is expected to serve over 3,200 workers, providing medical screening, primary care, and medication dispensing.
On a regional note, Al-Sharq newspaper reported on Israel's recent military actions in Syria, specifically in Quneitra and Daraa, which violated Syrian sovereignty and international laws. Al-Sharq emphasized the need for the international community to hold Israel accountable to prevent further regional instability. Qatar has expressed its solidarity with Syria and reaffirmed support for its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In another development, The Peninsula newspaper noted Qatar's participation in securing the FIFA World Cup 2026. This involvement demonstrates Qatar's evolved capability in hosting global events, building on its experience from the successful FIFA World Cup 2022. Qatar's contribution is not only logistical but reflects its expertise in planning, coordination, and security management on an international stage.
